Yes if that's happening to you, go to the bathroom and run the hot tap until the room is all steamy and just stay there for a few moments , after four or five times doing that you will stop feeling sick after you cough. Hope you are soon feeling better.
You could also fill your kitchen with steam by boiling the kettle but be careful with that.
