nobody enjoys being embarrassed even if it is true.
Because that's a mean way to tell them and they can't handle the truth.

IDK....But my husbands father breath smells like death I can be in the back seat while he is driving and I can still smell it...And he drives a big suv...One day I'm going to vent...my husband said he does not even own a toothbrush...

Although some people are just too lazy to brush their teeth, or, because of their smoking habit they have bad breath, but some people have medical conditions that make them have bad breath, or perhaps they take medications that make their breath smell bad.
You can't criticize someone for a medical condtion, or because of medicines. People probably tell them all the time how bad their breath is, and its embarrassing for them, and they can't do anything to prevent it.
My friend "Adam" (not his real name) has a serious mental condition that he takes 12 medications to control. However, the meds make his breath smell like an animal crawled inside his bowels and died. It actually makes me nauseated if I stand close to him when I talk to him, but he CAN'T HELP IT, and to criticize him for it shows an extreme lack of maturity.
