I go against it!

Evil.

waste of time.

& ink.

idk

Pointless if you have a driver's license.

Terrible.

they're necessary

no no no no!!!! the end times will come!!!! the government is trying to take over the world!!! im so scared of the future!!!!

It's easier to carry around than a passport, but it's annoying that it costs money to get on, so now we have to pay twice when we renew passports.... one amount for the passport and one for the ID card.
I have a friend who is a Hong Kong Resident (and she has an ID card).... she says it's easier and can prove ur identity quickly. However she says she likes the idea of having one ID card when ur a child (ie under 18) then u change ur ID card when ur 18 to an adult one and she says that she thinks that unless ur looks change, then its one for life....
I don't know how the government want to introduce it, ie changing once every 3-10 years or what, but the way the Chinese do it, I think is best.

ehh

I am all for it,

As long as there is no fee associated with getting one and they are obtainable at a local level (not placing burden on the poor), they betray no information that is not already availible on passports and drivers licenses, then why not?
