Do you *really* not judge people by their avatars?!

Question: Around this time for the past 2 weeks I would get tons of answers for my questions, but today when I put on this avatar, most I get is 3 answers if I'm lucky.

Avatars that are lewd or really in questionable taste really don't get much attention by me. I just think there are inappropriate depicitions that are in really poor taste and I will pass over them.
Your avatar doesn't pose any kind of negativity to me, so here you go:
Here's your answer. I do judge avatars.

  • Everyone does. The ones who say the don't are liars.

I don't "judge" the avatars. I try to ignore them and just look at the question. If it is a rude or offensive one, I will skip the question entirely.

    Everyone :)

    Its mean but the truth.

As they say, the truth hurts

    not really

I do... I can't think why, but avatars give you a bit of an insight into the person, or who that person wants to be, so perhaps its a subliminal thing.

    I try not to..

Ohh i dont...and you are my contact who are you?

No dont judge by your avatar....its for fun and your you

I don't judge until i find out some information

I think everybody's avatar is nice looking.

i do ..... the avator reflects ur character!!!

I NEVER judge people by their avatars. But the type of questions they ask and the type of answers they give are usually a good indication of the type of person they are.

    Cheers from Australia

I don't judge by a person's avatar. I like answering questions. People tend to forget, there is a real person with feelings behind that avatar, no matter what it looks like.

    yes i do
i'm sure you're austin power w/ your mojo rite?

Actually I go by the questions. If they sound interesting I'll answer, unfortunatally for me I sometimes only read the question and forget about the details and totally blow it with my answers!

See, if you'd opted for one of those "sexy lips" avatars you would have had more answers than you cared to read. I am similarly guilty as charged when it comes to avatar hunting...I only stopped at your question because you called my attention to it. Well done.

sometimes I get drawn in by certain avatars but also there are those that do have the opposite effect - however I don't think it is possible to judge just by what the avatar happens to look like its really down the questions they ask and answers they give x thanks

    Avatars are evidently extremely potent!

I'd like a daemon avatar - if I can manage the logistics of copying it, filing it, moving it, pasting it, and so on!

I have actually had a deeply distressing experience with someone else's avatar - and so have they (with theirs) - and they won't let me get in touch to say sorry - or that I still like them just as much as ever! Hey ho!

What we are on the inside doesn't change a jot just because we have a real, fictitious, or 'titillating' avatar - but it certainly has a massive effect on the old IN BOX!

My most successful one so far was of me feeding a mistle thursh that landed on my hand while we were on holiday in Scotland! Wow - didn't only get me a 'best answers' - it had to in this particular case as the question was something like HAS A WILD BIRD EVER WINKED AT YOU?

My schoolboy avatar - originally used on FB to try to contact long lost schoolfriends (from my primary school in Portishead, Somerset) is also very well received!

Maybe a golden eagle next - why not?

As long as I don't do an Icarus!

    ttfn oty

Oddly my avatar of me with an experimental beard that I shaved off, 'cos it itched so much, gets me much hotter ratings than any other I have used so far!

    Maybe try Humphrey Bogart soon!

    'We'll always have Paris' [Hilton?]

well it depends on person, if he is trying to show off something.. at his display image..
you cant judge people in that case.
