Question: 100 percent better than my folks were! I grew up in a very dysfunctional family! My mom was terrified of my dad so her fears and insecurities were what influenced us kids! My dad was extremely abusive and I knew that when I had children the buck stopped there! Thank you, good question!

I hope to be one day although my Dad wont be an easy act to follow, hes the greatest!
I tend to think that way, but when I yell something out at my 10 year old that reminds me of my mother I tend to WEEP LOUDLY!
my parents did a pretty good job
but i treat my children as individuals, and my parents didnt, they talked "at" me rather than to me or with me

yes i believe i am. my parents even think i am. mine were selfish. they still are. it is my goal to be better then them.
I wouldn't say better just yet. I parent my children differently than I was parented. But we won't know if that is better or worse until I see how they grow up.
