Another thing i am sick of is people asking for stars, it becomes nothing but a type of popularity contest if you give them a star you boost for chances for best answer.

Yes, but I usually ignore them. If I really want to answer the question I will at least give a decent answer in hopes to get best answer. See if they just answer to get two points, then I will answer to get 10! It doesn't always work, but at least I try. I've never been a slacker and I don't easily give up.
