thats a long way , maybe you could take a boat, and then stay in a hotel with a pool when you get here.

I love to swim although not very good. My kids are really good swimmers and love to swim as well. Come on over and we will take you to the pool. Better wait till summer though.
I like to swim too! When I swim long distances like that, I tend to switch between breast stroke & back stroke so I don't tire as fast. Also a really good set of fins is helpful. I make that swim alot, so here is a good route for you to take:
Leaving South Africa, swim up to Canary Islands and stay there for a day or two. Then cross the mid altlantic ridge into the Caribbean Sea right into Jamaica and stay for a day. From there, you are only a hop, skip and a jump to Florida. With that route you can walk part of the way :)
