wow, i would just hide in the bath room or run out the elevator right before the doors close and say that you forgot something on your desk leaving her in the elevator with out you.

I don't have that problem here. But only for a lack of co-workers and the few that I have don't work the same hours. Plus we have no elevator.. or stairs for that matter....
Buy an iPod or Walkman or just stick ear phone in your ears and leave the cords dangling. Ear phones are the perfect tool to discourage conversation!

i avoid my boss like the plague from 4:30-4:45, no eye contact, then i quietly zip up my purse and bolt for the door without even putting on my coat, i do a forward sommersalt down every other flight of stairs, and a backwards one in between to keep myself from getting dizzy, then i run for the exit plowing thru everyone in my way, grab onto the railing out side, and do a flip where i catapult myself up onto the 3rd floor of the parking garage, where i drive UP to the top floor and rev up the engine and bust over the edge and take a flying leap 4 blocks out into the downtown area and pray to god i land in between 2 cars instead of on top of one.....
whew....tires me out just thinking about it....
