Unfortunately the *really* good looking ones have often been told that so often that they develop a major ego and thus turn into complete pricks who think they're gods gift (not 100%, but most). Same tends to apply to girls too.
Best idea is look past the looks and to the person then you'll find someone who will give you the TLC etc. you deserve. The geeks thing is very true.

There's nothing wrong with having standards unless they're set at an impossible level. If you're trying to find someone who is absolutely perfect, he won't exist.
