I'd take cancer over AIDS any day. At least cancer can be cured some of the time, and it doesn't carry such a social stigma.
I am scared to death of AIDS, even though antiretroviral drugs have really improved over the years.

As you said.. the obvious answer is neither.. but if I had to choose I would choose cancer.... its something that I cant give to someone else.

cancer because there are treatments that can cure that, put you in remission you know...and the last I heard HIV leads to AIDS and there is no cure.
cancer. people automatically assumed u were promiscuous or on drugs if u catch hiv. no disrespect to anyone who has it though. and u have a chance with cancer. viruses mutate so u have to keep taking different medicines just to stay healthy.
I have already had cancer and that has been 20 years ago, I rather not have HIV.
If I had to choose, I'd rather have cancer, because then I wouldn't be able to give it to anyone else :)

Cancer, at least I couldn't spread it to my girlfriend.
I would choose Cancer because I can not pass cancer on to someone else like you can with HIV.
