Can I take my pet Squirrel to the dog pound?!

Question: He's hand fed so I don't want to just dump him out in the country, but I can't keep him any more. I keep waking up in the middle of night and finding him curled up in my pants. Where can I take him?

put him on petfinder.com

this ought to be interesting.......

no

You should call the animal shelter and ask them personally if they would take him.

Call the pound and ask. I would think someone would take him. He doesnt sleep in a cage? Sounds like he's more than hand fed... he he!

a squirrel sanctuary.

Hmm. I dont think they would accept him in the dog pound. Is there an animal shelter where you live? Like a "Humain Society"? Good luck. I hope your squirrell is safe.

Hmmmmmm. Are you sure that's a squirrel? I think I'd call a vet or someone knowledeable about animals before I decided what to do. Maybe even a zoo.

Squirrels are so lovable...................yeah but yes they will be happeier outdoors

Yeah, you can take him to the dog pound.

and whats wrong that he curles up with you?Squirrels are so adorable. No squirrel lets you near them, you've got a unique one. Dont give him up. Keep hem.

Sounds like my gay cousin twice removed is sweet on you, Woof. Don't get rid of him, I am sure you can put him to good use on those cold lonely nights.

I hope this doesn't mean you are taking Squirrel to be locked up? Shame I say! Shame on you! Squirrel needs to be free to climb trees and breathe fresh air.

OMG...Are you sure that is squirrel in your pants woof? You better take a second look sweetie. Love, honey
