Would you give someone best answer if they said point blank that they deserve it!
Question: I asked a whole whack of questions about my computer and this guy helped me figure it out. I was so happy and added that I will definitely give him best answer. He added on to his answer that he should also be given best answer for his last answer as well, in his opinion. I was floored. With that ungrateful and arrogant attitude, I don't want to give him any best answers. What would you do?

That's terrible..how selfish. I haven't been given any best answers, and it doesn't bother me at all! I think I've given the best advice to my knowledge.

No best answer for someone who is so demanding. But, I'm callous that way. I mean, everyone is different. I like to chime in or give advice -- if someone thinks that my answer benefited them in some way, that is great! If they give me best answer, I love it! But, I don't have any expectation for the best answer... it sort of takes the fun out of the whole process.

just give him the star u were originally gonna give him. i dunno what everyone's fascination with stars is...
if he gave best answer this time then go ahead and give it to him but let him know that just because he thinks he should have gotten best answer on the last one it wasn't best answer to you

i hate when people beg and plead for best answer or to be given stars....like all that depends on if they live or die. I would not give it to him.
Just forgive him, and give it to him....

If you honestly think that his answer was the best answer, then you should give it to him. Who cares about what he thinks. It depends on whether you think his is the best or not. But when you choose his as the best answer, leave a comment on there saying that he should not assume that his is the best and that it's good to be humble.
I agree with you..if people are outrite arrogant..then they don't deserve the best answer.. it's something you earn when you help people! I would not give him the best answer..and if you don't know who else to give it to, put it up for vote!

I would be floored also you never hear of anyone saying that. Give him the best answer he knows he wants it, plus he helped you out.
Give it to somebody that appreacites the joy, no honor! of having best answer! I know everytime I get best answer I tell everyone that I know! They are usually jealous at me. But I think I deserve every best answer that I have. And I give the best answer to the most deserving individual. And If somebody like that is going to joke around with getting the honor of best answer, I think he should be kicked off!

Well, if the answer really is that good, you can't descriminate against the prideful, however unattractive it is. Also, it might just be kind of a joke, because you gave him a best answer before, so he might just be messing with you. It's a bold move to ask for the 10 points but I'm sure it's happened on here before. Even if you left it up to voting, the answer is so outrageous, people would probably vote for it, so he's probably going to get 10 points either way.
if a person gives you a reasonable annser, and its what helped you out, than yes, i would give da best answer to dat person, try not to judge people by how they answer a question
If you promised to do something and you backed out at the last minute, what does that say about you? Some people are just plain uncouth, therefore he may not deserve it, but to maintain your integrity you should honor your promises.
well allot of people on here (including myself) like the score, i want to help people but i want my score to represent that. and allot of people on here asking questions only want the answers get them and leave it up to voting for their best answer to be picked, then everyone picks them self, any way maybe he feels like he helped you and a slew of other people and hasn't been getting "rewarded" best answer should be a reward for helping the people on here, but that's my opinion.
so yes if he gave best answer i would give him best.
