That's not a fair question to ask considering Vista is still working out the bugs right now. Come back in a year and ask that question, guarantee it will be different.
vista is still pretty buggy. it's a memory hog, and it doesn't really have anything special over XP. Just the visuals

Vista is an under developed overated software version rushed to the market. I'm a tech rep and most calls we've handled were mostly non-connectivity issues not because of service nor modem / wireless card reliability but operating sytem failure, both for wireless and LAN connection.
It's a bad product if you ask me. I'd stick with XP for now until Microsoft fixes Vista's quirks.

I am running the operating system window XP and I will not be parting with it for a long time. XP stands for eXPerience and what an experience is has been. At the moment not enough is known about Vista. XP has been on the go for a very long time. Vista is prone to bugs and various stuff.
So Vista is worse then XP.

Reasons?
1. Lack of compatibility with older programs.
2. Asks you for every action you do. If you turn it off, it won't protect you from anything.
3. New menu methods, which can be confusing. I can't tell if I did go to the next menu or if it didn't register.
4. Error prone. Though it is a new system, a couple of months should be enough to get rid of a lot of bugs. They still have yet to correct the terribly problem of old software crashing vista because of incompatibility .
Yeah, vista definately worst.
