One who has a clean appearance, friendly, smiles, and is attentive, that does not come across as a complete ditz. One that makes sure my glass is never empty and removes the dirty plates quickly. Good luck to you.

be attentive

Smile and be polite, and remember a little goes along way. Also try to use the customers first name if you know it from their credit card.

Good luck tomorrow!

if she is friendly and serves with a smile.
you'd be surprised how many people are having a bad day and take it out on the customers.
so be friendly and try not to spill anything.
trust me, it doesn't go over very well lol.
=)

Smile and be super nice to everyone. Make them feel like it's their birthday.

i used to be a waitress bigest tip i got was 15$ from a guy that i screwed up his whole oder. dont do that! lol just relax and read the menu before hand. have fun and smile~

Excluding good looks, which helps everywhere in life, good service without being overly present. In addition the quality of the food, of which you will have little control so work somewhere that is of quality

If she provides really nice service.

If they smile a lot, help, and are nice.

Be Polite. You look like a pretty girl so you shouldn't have problems with tips. Just be nice and smile a lot... you'll do fine with tips. Hope you were looking for this.

Smile, be nice and do your best. Don't hover but keep an eye on the table so they aren't left waiting for you to notice they are done or want something else.

I usually tip higher if the server responds to me with a sense of humour.

as long as there are nice, without making it look like they are trying to be. If they see i have my son with me, they'll bring me extra napkins....just the sincereness(is that even a word?) of them is what i appreciate.

nothing anymore. Of course honestly i don't really go out to eat much anymore, & i'm not worried about what she might think if i go to a place, cause i probably won't go back there. Oh yeah, i'm poor so that probably factors into it ;)

be friendly, not flirty if he is with a woman but if not it is ok don't ask for numbers, don't spill on them, don't tuch them/or their food, ask how it is, coem back every so ofter not every minuit, and have fun with it, friendly/fun waitress make everyone happy!

good luck with the new job!

The fact that I can. Don't be nervous. Just recognize when people want to have conversation with you or they just want you to take their order and be left alone. It's not a reflection on you, it's just the way some people are. If you make any mistakes, don't be afraid to explain that you are new. I've found that people are very understanding.

maintain eye contact , be pleasant and cheerful. act confident but not over confident. and above all remember the customer is always right (even when theyre wrong unfortunately!)

I only tip a lot if I suddenly come in to money, otherwise it's the standard 10% or rounded up a bit.

I know someone who used to make a killing as a waiter, but it was down to his friendliness, always smiling and being really good at chatting to anyone about anything (seriously - we once engaged him in conversation about tampons as teenagers and he seemed genuinely interested). Plus, most of the girls fancied him, which is never a bad thing. One of his counterparts was a bit shy and moody, and a stoner. He did not do so well.

Good luck, and try not to think too hard about the tips - the more you think about it the more your customers will notice. Just try to relax and fcus on them.

smile at both parties, not just the man. get the order right and get it out in sufficient time. Make sure to aask if all is alright and do they need anything but don't make a pest of urself.
and above all don't make them wait forever for their check

My advice : show a little skin

Keep my coffee cup warm and full and show a little leg or skin. I know this sounds bad, but men tip ladies very well for a glimpse of something they can't have. You can do this in a very suttle way and you'll make a lot more money.

Be Competent and polite. A little flirting never hurt anyone.

Good service, keep drinks filled , ask if the food is all right,
bring plenty of napkins, good food also. List the specials if you have any.
I usually tip 15-20 percent.
Good luck with your training and your job!

always greet your table with a smile and state your name.
first start your customer(s) off with a drink and allow them a few minutes to place their order.

stay attentive & alerted for any questions or assistance / accommodate with napkins, straws, condiments & utensils--if needed, etc / periodically ask if everything is alright with the meal or their order or if they need anything else.

YOU WILL FOR SURE RECEIVE A GOOD TIP!!!! i know i always leave a healthy tip (more than what's expected) when service is good. since i am very picky about things like this i always (or sometimes leave the tip) while my friend pays the bill......we love to eat out!!!

good luck in your training and just stay positive!!!!!!

If she is attentive, but not TOO attentive...we will tip her well.*

I love it when they actually seem like you're their only customer! I feel rushed when they are always looking at their watch or other tables. Also I like it when they are just friendly and make you feel welcome. I remember when I went to Denny's there was a waiter that always told jokes and he made us really comfortable. Just be yourself and people are sure to like you! Good luck :D

good service and cleavage.

depends if you're working at h00ters ;)

and as Mr. Pink claims in the opening scene in Reservoir Dogs, when he orders coffee he likes his cup filled 6 times...not 3!
