My mom was terrified of storms when I was young and thus passed it on to my sister and I. I got over it as a young adult, but my sister passed it on to her son. You should be cautious but not make yourslf sick.

I moved from Cali to Texas. Its not so bad, its actually exciting (and scary at the same time)

No, but I've lived through two tornadoes, one of which took the roof right off over my head. I figure if I was meant to die in a tornado, I would've already done it.
I'm safe from plane crashes, too. Missed the flight that crashed into the Skyway Bridge in Florida. People love to fly with me on their planes!
Hey, CMU John...I live near Kalamazoo...we had a tornado warning just a couple of weeks ago in Michigan...what are you talking about?
It's normal to feel that way .. you'll be fine... it will pass :)
I'm envious. I love the weather right before a tornado. How the sky turns sorta yellowish-green with high winds and hail. Then at hardly a moments notice, everything gets really calm and quiet and if you look (from a safe location), you can see the tornado. I'd rather be outside than in, when all that is going on. Though I tend to stay on the porch.
No it does not make me nervous. Living in MI you get a variety of weather conditions. You just kind of get used to it.
