They always reminded me of that episode of Star Trek where the transporter split Captain Kirk into two beings, one good and one evil.
Ashley always gave me the same vibe as the evil Captain Kirk: She had the toughness, the anger, the merciless core.
Mary-Kate, however, was like the good Captain Kirk: Essentially a goody goody, but she couldn't command without the Ashley's evil inner core backing her up. Plus, Ashley would remind her to have a freaking sandwich occasionally.

To this day, I can't understand why the producers made them wear those masks that made them look like those hideous 1960s troll dolls. It was ghastly.
I guess it would have been ok if the masks had even the slightest look of intelligence.
Not when they were babies... once she hit like 4 or 5 their pesonalities really started to show through.

Yea most of them like 99% because Ashley had a different shape face then Mary-Kate. Season one I sometimes could. Season 2-8 I always always always could.
