Question: Hey guys! Can I tape over any VHS? I have a presentation today and we're supposed to bring in a VHS so that my professor can record us. I have a couple that I dont use and I was wondering if it could be recorded over or if I should try to find new ones? Thanks

Put some Scotch tape over the corners and you can record over anything.
you can, but the quality will be better with a new one. DO NOT use the "home movies" unless you want the class to see them lol

Yes, if the tabs on the corners of the cassette haven't been broken off. If they have, that's supposed to protect the tape from being recorded over. BUT, like another answerer said, you can tape over the holes and get around that problem.
you can tape over your old one, just put some scotch tape over the little square if its not already closed by plastic!

Yes you can but if it is a movie you bought you will have to cover the holes on the top where the label goes with tape so that it can be recorded over.
