Was Heath Ledger's real cause of death stupidity instead of "accidental!

Question: The New York Medical Examiner states that the cause of death was "acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine."

How stupid do you have to be to NOT realize that mixing six different prescription drugs is a bad thing?

In all seriousness [a break from my usual snappy nature here], I have to agree with you -- even though I generally don't speak ill of the dead.

With that kind of toxicology evidence, his death simply cannot be construed as a tragedy. His ACTIONS were tragic in that he allowed himself to indulge in pharmaceutical Russian Roulette -- that is indeed a sad tragedy. But the fact is, taking that many meds just to try to get some sort of "high" was foolish, and he surely knew there was danger involved.

Exercising free will always has consequences -- positive or negative.

Oh, and in this case, I think the term "accidental overdose" qualifies as an oxymoron.

Mistakes happen,unfortunately people do ignore it..thinking it won't hurt them,sometimes it's fatal.

None the less,I feel bad for him and his daughter, who now has no dad.

R.I.P

I think he was depressed but its too late now hes already dead. so RIP.

Dude, have some respect.

Ask him...

Yup.... stupidity, ignorance, and irresponsibility were definitely contributing factors

someone wanted him dead, and they have the resources to keep it quiet, what else is there to say

Wow thats crazy
how could you not know?

but maybe it was all planned.....

No, I think that it was an accidental overdose. Many people assume that if a physician prescribes something, it cannot be harmful.

RIP Heath Ledger

Too bad Britney Spears doesnt think like him

you would think anyone would figure out not to do that, but it's also his doctor's responsibility to find out what else he's taking & to prescribe stuff that when taken together, won't be harmful.

How in the world would we really know what was in his head, what he was going through, what happened??? I would never say it was due to stupidity based solely on media reports. Have the same respect that you would want given to you if you were in his shoes.

As much as I liked Heath... I'd have to say yeah stupidity. You can't take your life for granted... meds are strong to kill you if you're not careful.

You're an ***. Have some respect.

it was NO accident. they are in denial.

i did read about it being an accident http://www.cnn.com/2008/SHOWBIZ/Movies/0...
i think in a way it was dumb of him, but i mean hes the only one that nows why he did it. lets just let him rest in peace now.

I would say yes it is stupidity on the part of the doctors and pharmacists that wrote and filled prescriptions for drugs that could work against one another or have adverse effects.

Who knows? You'll never know what was going on through the man's head, so I don't think now is going to even be any better.

That may be the determining factor in all this...
accidental overdose caused by stupidity!

Either stupid or HIGH or a combination of both.

yeah thats dumb, whats dumber is that the media keeps reporting that his fans are mad about this rumour, its not a rumour its true foools.

btw, I dont buy the accidental overdose theory, I think marilyn monroe did it!!!!!
