it's called the "Croydon Facelift" to us locals. It's where chavvy girls scrape their hair back off their face (hence "facelift") into tight gelled ponytails, often with a gelled strand of fringe curled down their forehead. It's generally accompanied by make-up applied with a trowel and large gold hoop earrings.
It seems like lots of women are copying the Victoria Beckham look in NYC. It was cute about six months ago, but it's such a common cut now it's become unimpressive.
The next big trend seems to be softly curled long brown hair or swept into a side ponytail.
longish straight and poofed up..popular colour used to be blonde but now its dark brown - ireland =)

For girls, either just above the shoulders in burgundy with really choppy layers and side bangs or long with choppy layers and side bands.
