*chuckles*

maybe.. o_o

All the time....

The only thing I don't do is Thumbs down !

I star and answer, unless it's some immature punk begging for a star. I give them a star and don't bother answering their question

I hate it when ppl just star the questions and not answer it. It's like why you gonna star my ish and not answer it. Ugh.

Sometimes I star and don't answer because, I'm hoping someone else can answer it better than me.

It weirds me out when people star but don't answer, like they are telling their friends to come report it or something.

i star question all the time with out answering them. i answer questions with out giving any one a thumbs up.what does one thing have to do with the other. i star a question if i want to go back and see all the answers when they come in. i may not care to add my 2 cents but i may want to see what other have to say about it. i have contacts and they dont always give me a thumbs up. what the big deal.

None of the above. Well, okay, once or twice or thrice or farce I have starred a question and not answered it, like "Is Loose Change like a god to you, do you worship the very ground he walks on by strewing rose pedals in his path?" Modesty, you know, forbids me from answering such a query. As for the thumb thing, I always add an extra thumbs up kicker to the best answer I award. Why this escapes some people is truly a mystery to me. Why award 10 when you can easily make it 11? There is the brain dead factor to take into account, so I shouldn't be too judgmental. After all, Alzheimer's could be just around the corner for me too. I'm glad you're okay now, but how long can that last? Notice how I end my answer with a question? It's my way of being a rebel without a cause. How's that?

1. Yes, I have starred questions and not answer them because someone stole my answer or it is clear that a good number of the answers are better than the one i would give or i have no answer at all but want to pass it on. i star for my contacts, sometimes i have a few people in mind who could probably beat even the best answer already there.
1. a) i also assume if a contact asks a question, they want it to be passed on. i know i do.
2. Yes, i have answered without giving a thumbs up. i don't have all day and night to read all my mail, answers all the questions, read all the answers, ponder my answer, respond, ask my questions, read all my answers, thumb up my answers, star the questions for my contacts and still eat. So Shoot me.
3. You are not my mom, so you cannot tell me what to do.
4. You are not yapoo answers, so you cannot tell me how to play MY game.
5. I have news for you, what you need isn't ALL there is out there.
6. What YOU find distasteful, isn't necessarily my concern, i do have other contacts.
7. You cannot tell me what to put on my wait or watchlist.
8. What is a watchlist?
9. Hedgehogs don't puff up. That would be blowfish.
10. Can i tell you not to be a blowfish? No, i cannot.
11. Heart racing, whew, I got that out! pee off.

i wondered which disgusting question it was. Maybe sheila starred first, freaked out at the question and forgot to unstar it.
maybe you don't know your contacts well enough to recognize a mistake. shame on you.

actually, i think if you had read a little further you would have found that sheila answered the question.

I star all the questions my contacts ask, if I can answer them or not. It is to show I care about them, and someone who knows me will see my star and be able to help.

I will thumbs up some good answers, and only thumbs down those I know to be incorrect, or are a bit rough.

I report those that are offensive and those point gaming.

I sometimes (not always though) star questions & don't answer them for a couple reasons:

A) I want to think about it some more or to do some research on it & save it to answer later, it's easier to find again that way, & if the question closes in the mean time at least they got a star out of it from me & maybe more ...

B) I want my contacts to take a whack at it -- some of them are even better than I am (not saying much really in my regard) at answering questions on certain topics & subjects.

Othertimes, I may answer questions & not star it at all -- it all depends on the question (quality issue LOL) or if my contacts alerted me about it already with a star (quantity issue), etc.

Now, if I answer a question, I may or may not thumbs up other answers to that same question, simply as a time factor consideration (mine). I only come on for a few minutes here, & there, so rather than waste precious minutes doing that time consuming chore I answer another question or two. Sorry! However, if I do have the time & am reading the other answers anyway (before I decide to answer this particular question myself), I will generally thumbs up all the good ones I come across (if any).

Now, if it's my question, I most assuredly do give thumbs ups for the good answers & only rarely give thumbs down (unless it's blatantly wrong, doesn't answer the question or whatever).

Like Dune (one of my contacts BTW, hence how I got here), I also report those questions & answers that are highly offensive, blatantly violate the Community Guidelines, and when I discover a point gaming scheme occurring.

So what's the big deal if we star a question & don't answer it? Or give a thumbs up for every answer or not?
