How realistic was the strawman in the Wizard of Oz?!

Another possible reason would be that they thought it might have been to risque for a family friendly movie so they cut out all/any dirty scene where he verbalizes his true emotions?
Also, you should try reading the book wWcked, it's the plot of the wizard of oz from the another (the real) whitche's perspective. It has all the stuff that Dorthy doesn't know or see, because her plot is taken out of context. Anyhow, the book was not PG and had ample sexual references.
