Mine too!!! He puts things in the basket all the time...things that I wont eat and he doesnt eat and that land up in the bin every time!!! I spend a lot more when he is with me but I dont say anything to him...can't spoil this day for him..can I LOL???

I hate my hubby coming food shopping with me.He rushes up and down the aisles so I don't get a chance to look at anything new.As for my kids, they always make me spend more.I prefer to go it alone.
I actually prefer to do the shopping alone. My income pays the grocery bills. When my lady goes with me, we tend to spend more because she's more likely to pick up stuff that's not on the list.
I prefer to go without him and if he does come then no I usually spend less because he hates going food shopping and wants to get it done and go!

We gave up on doing a weekly shop together pretty fast and now I do an online order for all the basic stuff once a fortnight and we each buy what is needed on a daily basis depending on who's cooking that night. Works really well!

I will go with my gf. When I need to hit the supermarket, I usually do it solo....it's a surgical strike. I got my list...in and out.
Now when WE go, we have fun while we shop. We try the samples, get one of every coupon they have on those shelf despensers, laugh a lot, and possibly nauseate a few people if we're in a particularly affectionate mood.....we're in there MUCH longer when it's the two of us.
With me it is a case of "does HE take me..." he does all our food shopping...he likes it and I hate it.
i try not to as i have the same problem as you. when i get to the till there seems to be a trolley full of chocolate,biscuits & crisp.
not any more. its to embarresing. he whistles as loud as possible cos he knows i hate it. he will also walk about 10 feet behind me and then shout that he has just seen me put something in my pocket. when he is not embarresing me he will load the trolly up with cakes and chocolate while i am in the salad section. so no i try my best not to take him.
Don't take him if I can help it, always takes longer, spend more and all the shopping gets squashed because he insists on packing and just shoves everything in together, then complains when his sarnies are misshaped.
