What's the deal with cutters?!
Question: This is why I'm against the "emo" faze. Are the emo kids the cutters? Is it that cool to be sad? If that's the case these kids are going to have it real tough once they get older and into the real world. This is why I call it the helmet generation. Over protected parents make sissys outa kids. Not knowing. That explains boys wearing girl jeans. Totally confused about what it's like being a man. What the fck do the dads think? I guess this is more of a rant then a question. Thanks for listening and now go throw rocks at kids cus their heads are protected.

it is a rant. but you are totally right. i agree. most of them are over protected kids trying to be "cool'. more parents need to let their kids know that it is much cooler to be themselves, have their own ideas and opinions and not be followers. i have 2 little boys, who i hope will never be followers. they won't be if i can help it.

Cutting has been around long before the Emo craze. I don't know much about Emo, but you can't blame cutting on them.

let's hope they grow out of it. The real emo is oold...from the 80's. And it really wasn't anything stupid, it was just music with emotional lyrics
recently some jackass made up a fad and associated it with being 'emo' and depressed. So the extremists are the ones who cut themselves. Most of it is fake though, why has everyone become depressed all of a sudden? The companies that make the anti-depressants must be getting loaded

not all emo are cutterz... just because someone is emo it doesnt mean they cut themselves. emo stands for emotionally unstable....they juss have a differnt way of expressing their depression and feelings...( how they dress and things like that)not all emo cut themselves.. and emo and cutters are different anyway
"Cutter" come in all shapes, sizes, races, and ages. Emo is a relatively new trend. Self injury has been around forever. It just gets more attention now. The easiest way to explain it is people who injure themselves because they hurt so much inside, they either want the outside to match or they feel so numb inside they want to feel something.
Some people do it for attention, but they need attention that badly, why doesn't someone give it too them??? Most people go to great lengths to hide their scars.
And that is my rant.
