How do you build up the courage to fight for what you know is right?!

Question: Find your definition of right. What is right? What is wrong? We cannot simply base this off of the premise of what we feel or want because this could well be more out of selfish desires than true conviction.

Morality, right and wrong, are found only when we turn to the higher power who has the authority to make something right, and something else wrong. This cannot be defined by our government for government is men, just like us, who while they may be good people, they are human, falible and imperfect.

I am completely convinced that true morality comes from God, not just general god but the God of the bible. The one who sent His son, Jesus Christ, to die for our imperfections so that we could be united with the perfect God.

How do you build up courage? You know 100% that what your standing for is right. You move on the conviction that anything but standing up is nothing short of helping the enemy. You pray and ask God to give you the strength to do what is right.

2 Timothy 1:7-14

For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord or of me His prisoner, but join with me in suffering for the gospel according to the power of God, who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was granted us in Christ Jesus from all eternity, but now has been revealed by the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus, who abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel, for which I was appointed a preacher and an apostle and a teacher. For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day. Retain the standard of sound words which you have heard from me, in the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. Guard, through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, the treasure which has been entrusted to you.

I pray about it. BTW, I like your avatar.

Who needs courage when you have...

...a gun!

Bottle the rage, and unleash it when you need it.

The feeling I get about myself when I don't is enough for me.

I pray and ask for my friends and family's support.

you could get nice and drunk first

just do it

If you know something is right, you shouldn't have to build up the courage to fight! That's found within.

start with a terrific fart

Just knowing you are right helps the most. Not worrying about the consequences is next. Lastly most people are scared to begin with. If you take a stand others will follow, that has always been the case through time.

You just DO it! Throw caution into the wind and jump in head first! Think of it this way: if you DON'T fight for what you know is right, you might as well agree with what you know is wrong. Even if it means just standing up and speaking your mind, if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for ANYTHING!

when its something you know that has to be faught for you dont give it 2 thoughts you just do what you have to do.

constant conscious contact with your Higher Power...

well, i start off by asking myslef ..."is it worth it" i say yes...lol. and then i just do it. i think " what can happen to me or what will they do to me for what i am about to do"...well if im not going to jail or being killed , then i do it and just think it's not gonna hurt me physically. They might say things about me or to me but i will just let them slide. i push it to the point it needs to go.

I just do it, sometimes it helps to just think about it at first and then sometime not.

I don't have to...It just comes to me. If it's something I feel passionate about... I'm ready!

The most important thing that you can do is NOT listen to everyone else. Do what you know is right. If someone else is telling you that you are wrong, you don't have to believe them.

Follow your heart, do what you know is right. Build courage from the fact that you are doing what you believe it right.

From my experience, sometimes I was the one that was right after all.

~Strengthen your mind with thoughts and
~ Tell yourself when you get
that Right thing .............. that it
was worth it ........

You know you are so right ...sometimes it is really hard at least for some folks like me too to fight for what is right..
it puts you in a very unpleasant feeling like a knot in your heart.. that's the way i feel when i have to fight for something that i know is not right..
but what i do is basically talk to myself before making the call and tell myself don't let anyone or any situation step on you!!! you have the right to live a good life and to fight for what is right ..and even though my hands sweat and i want to cry i force myself to make that phone call and from there i only get stronger...
I am in the same situation now With something that was Deon wrong to one of my kids and it is very hard but i am not giving up for what is right...Do the same thing don't let anyone step on you you are worth much more then that....

When its something you real believe in or that you know is right, Then you don't build up courage, You stand on your faith for that right or belief. No matter what your denomination is. Faith means the same thing in all aspects and religions. F-Fully, A-Anticipating, I-Incredible, T-Things, H-Happening. Stay strong and don't falter or let them see you sweat.
My 3 yr old Baby girls' name is "Faith".
