Yes you can, but they tend to act bit chy as hell. And they do scratch when they get angry, but I ways of calming cats down so im fine.

I trained one to "heel" and the thing would follow me on my quarter mile walk to the mailbox every afternoon....

yep....my cat plays fetch with me all the time...you have to reward her with treats though.
YES!!! Our cat knows how to play fetch.
But I'm not sure we taught him how. He just kept bringing us his little tiny stuffed mouse toy so we'd throw it, he'd get it, and bring it back. Now he brings us the mouse and sets it on our lap and waits for us to play with him. He's just so precious.
Well I have a cat that fetches my hair ties. I didn't train him he just started doing it one day. And when I was younger I had another cat that would fetch those lucky rabbit foot. Didn't train him either he just started doing it one day. I don't know how to train them to do that.
