Which is the most powerfull and most destructive. A Lightning strike or a Tornad!

It depends. Does the lighting destroy what it hits or not?
With a tornado, they vary in strength. So with an F5 tornado, pretty much nothing survives, so that would be more destructive. An F1 on the other hand, may just blow a few roof tiles and tree branches, so it does depend on what category the tornado is.
Does the lightning cause a fire? Some massive forest fires have been caused by lightning.
If not then Tornadoes do more damage.
Tornado would be most destructive surely, not show which would be most powerful tho.

depends what the lightening strikes i guess! but in general assuming the tornado hits a populated area i would go with the big wind
Id say lightning stike if you got hit by it but i LOVE lightning, it's so fasinating. Especialy fork.
Tornadoes are they most powerful and destructive storms that exist. They also strike randomly and destroy everything in their path so I would have to say a tornado is.
A tornado because it does much more wide spread damage. A lightning strike will be destructive, but only in a small area.

I would say lighting, because it can cause fire, then the fire can spread and destroy more.
Tornado. They can destroy a large area ripping up everything in it's path. Lightning can start a fire, but it is the fire that is destructive. Lightning strikes can be small and do very little damage. Even a small tornado that touches ground can do a lot of damage.
Tornado for sure...it does massive damage, over a wide region, whereas a lightning strike hits a more confined area.
Both too destructive to compare.
