I've never pretended to be anyone else but i've known people who have. (like, they use fake names and stuff online) So, I am curious. What if they ended up pretending to be you? And then people that knew you started thinking all kinds of crap about you that wasn't true at all.
Would you be mad? I would be.
I am just curious. Most people lie online, in one form or another lol (to each his own i suppose).... but what if it turned out to be like the above, and it was you they were pretending to be. Would you want to know why? And would you be mad?

I'd try to find out who is this person is and tell everyone sorry for the trouble and that it wasn't me.
I believe it's legally called slander but this probably doesn't apply since I'm guessing only petty teenage girls would be stupid enough to do something like this....
If it was me, I'd be pretty pissed, don't care why, I'd just be pissed....
You could potentially sue for defamation of character.
Yes i would be mad!!! People can't just do that if you know who is doing it then ask them why and tell them to stop!

As you probably know those famous myspace whores have like a million fakes of them, and usually they just get pissed off but flattered at the same time since it makes them more "famous".
As for me, I would be really annoyed, and I would feel bad for the person pretending to be someone else!
It happened to me. I had my lawyer draft a cease and desist letter and sent it to them.
If they're wittier and more charming that me, then I have a problem!
I would not be able to care less WHY they were doing it. All that would matter was they were doing it. I would be pissed beyond belief. I would then proceed to contact them and tell them they had better stop doing what they were doing and then try to undo the damage by posting the truth where this person has been - that or I would change my online name and create a new one, informing only those I cared to about the change.
I would be very angry. It's wrong to pose as someone else to begin with, let alone doing bad things in their name and potentially damaging their reputation. People probably do this because they are jealous of the person they're pretending to be.
I would hunt them down and break their spine so they couldn't use their computer any more.
as for me ...it would be hard for imposters to copy my personality.........and I myself come as different persons in the net(that doesnt mean i myself is an impostor....coz I dont copy anyone)....so it would be hard to track or bother the real me........
and if someone did end up doing that,after all...........I think it would be fun ..well for me........I would just keep on seeing how best or worse things could turn out.....it would be exciting.........!!!
