ACCORDING TO A CENCUS IN 1991 ABOUT 1500 DISTINCT LANGUAGES WERE IDENTIFIED IN INDIA...EVEN AFTER GROUPING THEM TO LRGE EXTENT..114 LANGUAGES CAME OUT...
bt the gvt, still did nt decide to impose HINDI(spoken by 50%) as it RESPECTED its citizens...SO WE HV SCHEDULED AND NON-SCHEDULED LANGUAGES.bt nw tht we see the 2biggest names of maharashtrian politics support BEATING,RAPING,MOLESTING poor on the name of A BASELESS FGHT.i wondr IS THIS WE?

i know......i can actually feel d whole thing coz i m myself a north indian....n i know how it feels wen everyday i see all dese harsh wrds against us in newz n all dat........bt wat can we do.....d whole maharashtra i think is wid dat guy......i think now jst d supreme court can stop dis coz its somewat a case of rights.......bt now u hav come up wid d issue......plz ppl giv ur suggestions on how we d common ppl n youth- d strength of our country can stop all dis fight in terms of state n language.....

well.. i read in full. your question a long one and expressing certain matters and things and i don't want to enter, but you are showing our country in some shape. There may be some disturbances in one corner of the country, but it is not all over the country. Political games wil raise and fall. it is not our matter. There are several personalitites to counter. You showed a picture from maharashtra to uttarpradhesh. Fundamental rights are there. people living in India peacefully. you know, people doesn't care all these matters. They are on their work. India is a cultural country. we are living with co-operation with all religious people. All religions following their guidelines without any disturbances. We are top in the line of education. we are top in the line software. we receive people with smile. politics are every where in the world. you cited languages..of course .. before independance we are not united and the history says we are divided by 56 provinces. After much efforts, all the provinces made united and one India born. It is natural that all provinces are having its own language. To link, the English language is continuing. A respected Hindi language is also spoken by all. you say to impose. impose means compulsory..when all are affectionate and want to promote their languages, the imposing, made compulsory doesnot arise. There are 14 official languages in India. you say beating, raping, molesting is a major offence and fault, and while concurring your view, we should project our country taking good to others. Ignore unwanted ones. I agree it is new to our country, but it is happening all over the world. North/south is only pointing that you are from south or north side only and not in avertion. i appreciate your views, but no divisions among us. we are one. thanks...

Yes we are most definitely one united nation but some people are in some parts of the world legally and others illegally. That apples to every country and every nationality.
Look babe, India is very strongly bonded nation, these kind of thinsg will never break out unity, But i see some valid points from Raj and Former Governors statements....
North Indians impose their Hindi and their culture on other great cultures in south india and in west india, this is not acceptable, Hindi is not a National Language, so we hate hindi imperialism, and Hindi culture is strictly prohibited in many states.....
Its better for every Indian to respect local culture and speak in local language, If you want a common language ENGLISH can be a Common language.....
So its high time Hindi Speakers learn to live under the restrictions of law and respect local culture and behave in a civilised manner in other states....
