Because the music genre is so similar it can be misconstued as the same form of music, though I don't think he wrote either one of those. And brothers are like that and men in general are too. Hey, how are you?

well, teh please mr postman thing is a little bit understandable because they did a cover of that, but they never covered Mrs. Robinson, so no idea where he got that idea from. Does he smoke a lot of dope?

i don't think he did i can't remember who did but it was an American

...umm

Some people never get over the 60s

i guess he really likes the Beatles? mrs. robinson is a paul simon creation and please mr. postman i THINK is neil sedaka, but i'm not sure on that one. anyway, the Beatles wrote a lot of good songs, so i can understand the confusion.

Mr. Postman was around way before John Lennon...Mr. Robinson was a Simon and Garfunkel thing...it sucks to be old...

I don't know why your brother thinks that.
Paul and John are excellent songwriters, but - in their early days - they did a lot of covers of the music that they loved listening to, themselves.

He obviously isn't a Paul Simon fan

Elvis wrote every song ever....!

the beatles are over rated..

He is wrong on both counts, although The Beatles did cover "Please, Mr Postman" and "Mrs Robinson" contains the lyric "Coo-coo-co-choo" (or whatever it is), possibly cribbed from "I Am the Walrus".

He's male they do tend to do that but we know better so ignore him.

How you today???

Paul Sedaka wrote Mr Postman and Paul Simon wrote Mrs Robinson, though the Beatles did sing Mr Postman, give your brother a pat on the back and tell him to calm down.

And "Postman Pat", it was during his postman fetish phase when he got Yoko to dress up as a posty and knock on the door asking for him to sign for a parcel everyone knows that!

He's a man that like to think that know it all

Tell him that Lennon was a great song writer, however, there are many other people that can write profound lyrics also.

Is your brother younger?
He may have never known Lennon's work, that well.

hiya huns...not sure about Mr Postman but think he'll find Paul Simon wrote Mrs Robinson.....hang on a min...whose that on top of me ...lady in red....flippin eck...wud luv to know who rode her

...hmm
