How come you dont see that many big melons in the winter? Are they only availabl!

Question: I see them at them at the grocery store but they are a lot smaller than what I am used to this winter.

Answers: I see them at them at the grocery store but they are a lot smaller than what I am used to this winter.

Because in the wintertime all the big melons are covered in winter jackets. Unless you see a ski bunny...summertime they are everywhere and I swear they are getting bigger and bigger every year!!!

Yes, melon is a summer fruit,,,and the places that have warm year round, to ship them here would cost a fortune..

Ah, yes. Nothing like a hot summer day when the ladies are taking the twins for a walk....

melons (sweet) are summer fruits
they need warm weather to grow

Actually I've been seeing them year round lately with the most recent womens fashions exposing more cleavage. And not just at the grocery store either.

I got big melons in No. Fla. but last winter, when I was in N.Y., my melons were smaller. I like Fla. where my melons are big year round, & juicy.
