Why don't colleges close as much as high school close?!

Question: It seems like college never closes when it comes to snow days, and it bothers me a lot why do you think is that?

High schools offer transportation for students, so they are responsible for the safety of their students. College is all public transportation or private(as in you drive).. so they don't have to worry if your bus crashes- it's the city's fault not theirs!

they are under pressure to finish on time and qualify for state money

Because in high school the schools are liable for the children on the buses.

Stuey got it and also in College it's your choice to go. So if you think the roads are too bad, you just don't go. In High School the State mandates you are there.

Because you're paying for college and people would get pissed if they weren't getting their money's worth. Besides that, I also agree with Stuey!~

Because anybody can go to college, but you have to be a certain age to go to high school. So in some areas there just aren't enough kids to warrant having a school, so it closes.

Lets see did you pay for high school or college...I think college. So they know that if you don't go and you fail they still get to keep the money unless you leave before the cutoff date to drop classes. It is a business with the college, and a state mandatory thing for the high schools.
