What people mean is that when you have something to do and you have to do in by a certain time and you can't get it done in that time, then time is your enemy. Lets say you have to get a book report in by 2:30 pm in school and it's 1:30pm and you are not even halfway done then time becomes your enemy because you know that there is not enough time! It's is phrase that's used when you don't have a lot of time left, or when you are running out of time. If time is short it's your enemy, but if you have plenty of it, it's your friend.

it means your fighting ageast time in life because you want to live long to live it up while you can because think about it life happens so fast and once you hit forty or fifty your half dead so take advantige of things now

lol... it is negative. And negative people suc. I think that time is my friend. Time lets pain lessen. Time lets you get better at life. Time lets you look forward to the future, because time makes sure that happens for you. Time lets you know that things will get better and time reminds you to enjoy this moment to the fullest, becasue it will never come back. I think time is your friend, personally.

You can't defeat time, and you never have enough of it and you just hate how much you can't stop or create it.
