We never change do we?!

Question: have you noticed that...

1. people usually never change in the ways that you wish they did?

2. When people do change, its always in a way that we miss the way they were?

3. And that in the end, the people who have "changed" for the better, end up going back to their old ways?

I just find myself asking this because i was just thinking that i dont miss a lot of people, i miss the way they were. :[

We become attached to people for a reason.

Say we become attached to person X. They love baseball, they love to laugh and are talented at making jokes, they have quirks, and they have their own personality that you grow to know as you meet them.

Now remember, as you became attached to the person, you became accustomed to their "personality" and how they generally behaved. Although changing is very difficult, when someone does change, they are probably changing from the person that we first met into something different. Make sense? So, depending on how severe the change is, it can seem like a whole new person and thus a whole new friend, leaving us to miss the old person X.

Sometimes

So true. You can outgrow friendships. Good luck.

you are correct

1) People DO change actually. Time and patience is key to this and people usually change after they experience something.

2) Yes, you are correct that we miss the old them and not the new.

3) Sounds like me, I have changed completely then changed back knowing It's not right to be the new self.
