a mudfish -- about 1.5 ft.
OMG!!! At my son's Boy Scout camp, I caught a catfish that weighed about 15 lbs. It was freakin' awesome. it was so hard to reel that fish in, I was screaming for help, my hubby was helping my children [we were all catching fish at the same time] so, this guy a few feet away from me, came and helped me. It was so much fun catching that fish, I will NEVER forget it.

My son caught a 1.5m shovel nose shark and then he released it.
130 pd shark... it was so awesome i caught it in the Gulf...
I had a little help... but not so much it wasn't me who caught the fish...it was a sturgeon... the first I caught was just a 1/4 inch under the minimum allowable length of 3 feet...yes 35 3/4 inches long. The second I finally caught.... was just a little longer than I am tall.... I am 5'11" tall... they estimate that it was approximately 200 years old.... I released it back into the Columbia River... they are mostly a protected fish now... catch and release.... but they are quite good smoked... some believe them to be a Prehistoric fish...if you've ever seen one, you would know why!! Some believe they can only live to be about 100 years old...but there are some which have survived much longer... The can take an average man 2 to 5 hours to catch... or more if they are fighters... Awesome fun!!
