just tell her the situation. and tell her that you are interested in it. i'm guessing that if it was in the mall, it probably was a reputable agency. but you need to make sure, do some research on the modeling agency, see how long they have been in business, if they have any well known models with the company and what they require of you to join their company. if they ask you for any money up front, then don't do it. there are a lot of scam modeling companies out there who target young girls and their parents who want their kids to succeed. if it is not a serious company, they may something like you need to pay their agency for modeling classes, make up lessons, walking, or even theater classes. do not fall for it. it's a scam. you will pay a lot into it and never get anything out of it. also, ask your mom to call an entertainment lawyer first if you both are interested in it and it seems like a good company. an entertainment lawyer will tell you more about the company, and if it is worth it. some of them will be nice, and do it over the phone for free, since you are not asking for much. if not, then it will just be a small fee for them to really look into the company more.

How about the truth.
