Question: If I was offered a job out of area that was the job of my dreams and I'd be doing what I love and making a lot of money should I take it knowing that my kids will then have to live with their dad and I'd see them 4-6 times a year?

I think that is a decision that you would have to weigh very carefully. Ultimately it will be your decision. Is their father a competent caregiver? Would you eventually have them with you when you are settled? A lot goes into making this decision and you shouldn't make it lightly. Make sure your childrens well being is at the forefront of your decision.

well is your job more important than your kids? if your kids are young then i wouldn't do it, if they're teenagers then it might be okay
is taking them with you out of the question?
i don`t know about you but my kids are more important to me than money , so if it was me i would have to pass :)
you must tell about it with your husband or your best friend but don't forget you are Working for LIFE not life for work
