I'm sure most people would immediately think of the Fender Strat, but I always loved the look and the sound of the Gibson Firebird. The band, and the guitar player that always comes to mind for me when it comes to the Gibson Firebird, would be Allen Collins and Lynyrd Skynyrd... the solo on "Freebird" was played by Allen Collins on a Gibson Firebird...
