I presume that this crack is due to neglect. I would suggest that you request a council official to come and view your huge crack at the nearest available time.
Do not, under any circumstance, attempt to tamper, or otherwise fiddle with this crack.
Your back passage may now be subject to leakage..I would suggest you plugged the crack (as a temporary measure) with some industrial grade filler prior to the council officials inspection of afforementioned massive crack.
Try to keep your back passage as well ventillated as possible to avoid further issues.
I would also suggest that for the meantime, you cease useage of your back passage and ask guests and visitors to go around the front. If your front entrance is obstructed, I would call a landscaper who should be able to prune your bush, thus allowing free and easy access to your front entrance.

I would have to let the council take a look. Maybe they can tell what caused the crack and how to stop it before it gets bigger. If nothing else, a lot of people got to see your crack!!

I suggest taking matters into your own hands. I do.
Got some insulation foam and a gun to squirt it, if that's any help at all.
