Answers: What do you tell them and ever just being honest and told them you have a hangover

Thank you

I own the company so I tell them (myself) whatever I want! End of Story

I do try and set a semi-decent example for my employees! My employees tell me when they are going out drinking, I just expect them late the next day. That way they dont call in and miss everything they might need to do. Works well.

They know better than to do it all the time. I allow them to have lives, just get stuff done by the time it needs to be done! Thats all I ask.

My best employee works the least amount of hours, yet does 4 times the work of the others combined. She comes and goes as she wants. But always, the things I need done, ARE DONE! Thats why she has the freedom and makes the most money.

no becuase thats how you get the sack

i tell them i not very well

nope, usually I'm not well, the kids aren't well etc, funny how you tend to be not well on Mondays! pmsl

I don't pull sickies. Love my job

I dont work as of yet
I am a further education student

*****Stomach bug or back ache*****

I just tell them a very simple "I'm sick"

Nope, it is my philosophy that they don't really need to know WHY I am not there, only that I am not. So my call-outs are something of :"I am not going to be in to work today. I am not well or something has come up (depending on the situation)" That is all they need to know.

I find that the 'women's trouble' excuse works well, especially on men. They don't want to know the gory ins and outs of your, er, ins and outs. This is not going to work if you're a man, obviously.

Describe the symptoms, just don't let on they're alcohol-induced

i try not to call in sick

I just tell them that I'm having family problems.

Don't tell them you have a hangover. It looks very irresponsible. You knew you had to work. Don't get drunk the night before.
Say you aren't feeling well. You don't need to explain the details.

i try to lie sometimes but my trainer and pals can see straight through me...never a hangover though, i don't drink..usually tiredness cause of late nights on here and little ones waking way to early xx

I'm HONEST never have pulled a sicky !x x

I took one three years ago, haven't gone back yet!!LOL

i no someone who pretended their house was flooded by ringing their boss with the bath running in the background. And i also heard someone pretending they were stranded somewhere they never were before by pretending they were up all night drinking and couldn't find their way home.

I am sick... I rarely go out and drink too much on a sunday night..So hangover is pretty lame as an excuse...Even though if it is actually the truth..

I worked from 18-60 and never chucked a sicky - I always believe that if you pretend to be ill- you will - SEE ELRIC !!!!!!
