When we ask a question we give a thumbs up to everyone who answers our question even if we don't agree with the answer because it is our way of showing appreciation for folks taking the time to answer.
In the cases of other people's questions we give thumbs up to answers that make us laugh or we agree with but we rarely give thumbs down unless the poster is being derogatory to the asker, racist or obscene. x
