Yes, it can happen. I'm not typically prone to having preminitions of impending doom or anything, but I had a dream that my first husband died before he did, and after his death I found out both of my daughters had as well. That was strange. And I have had other dreams or feelings that were very real, and made me wonder if something was going to happen...one not that long ago that in the end is still not resolved so that I know it won't happen.

What I do to 'block it out' is first, to try to just trust. I do trust God that whatever happens He'll work everything out for good. Not that it means that bad things never will happen though, so I just try to remember worry doesn't change anything...it usually just makes me sick and feel paralyzed. So I remind myself not to waste precious moments worrying about what 'might' happen. It's hard sometimes when you really have that strong feeling, but you just have to go on and not worry and try to stay busy and not dwell on it.

at times yes

You are the only one feeling like that

OMG.....that's so weird......I have had a sense of impending doom for about 2 days now, and I can't shake it........it's actually taking away my appetite.......could it be collective intuition?

You're dealing with your worst fears. That's bound to trigger some anxiety. But in no case should you let that rule your life. Some of those fears will become reality because fear is paralyzing your thinking process. You need to know that out of every situation in life - most likely there is a way out. I like an old saying, from the pilgrim's time. "We'll cross that bridge when we get there"... Be prepared, but whatever transcends your possibility to be prepared for, there's going to be an alternative.
I love this concept. Don't let worry rule your life. It's a negative reaction and it's debilitating. If you want to make changes, think of something you can do, or focus on what can be done, or on finding out what can be done. That is a positive reaction, and most likely will trigger a favorable result.
It's like seeing an opportunity in the midst of turmoil, if you wish. That's how USA was born. :))
Good luck to you!
