Soft butter?!
Question: K I'm trying to make some chocolate chip cookies and the recipe says I need one cup of soft butter. What do they mean soft butter? Does that mean margarine..or something else? Am I dumb??? lol...

Take the real butter (sticks) out of the fridge until they are soft...no you're not dumb.

haha just like put it in the microwave for like 15 seconds and put in 1 cup of butter that simple.
Take the butter out of the fridge and set them out in room temperature. Angel is right, you are not dumb.

either a tub of the butter measured,
or a stick of butter, thawed on counter or slightly warmed in the microwave.
