depends on how against that hobby they are, or what that hobby means to me. EX: i loved soft ball, and my friend didn't; never bothered me, since she was a cheerleader, and i dont care for cheerleading (not my cup of tea)..something like that ^, it doesnt make any sense. If its something that can "drive a wedge" between you two, and make you no longer be firends, than its not only a problem, but a shame...
EX: i love animals, and pretty much everyone i used to go with, laughed at me bc of one "firend" who instigated the whole "You're such a loser, you like animals" things..it the friend is rude little *****, then she doesn't deserve to be called your friend, let along know you.
but if its nothing serious, like the first one, there is nothing wrong with friends having different hobbies, and different veiws, but when one of them get obnoxious about it, than HE!! YEA, i'd change my opinon fast.
the "animal" thing was bc i volunteered at an animal shelter and would talk to the animals (they seemed to like it, and actual behaved when someone talked to them)

You know I don't really understand what a friend does for someone...I just realized today something and it made me wonder why? what for? Its just "one" more thing to put all your emotions into.
no because they are my hobbies not theirs and they also have hobbies I surely won't like also but that is good because you wouldn't want to be with someone 24/7 and doing the same thing all the time maybe they don't like it but they are your friends and it is good to do new things
Of course, in as far as those hobbies were concerned, but; it would take a lot more than that to make me give up on someone. A lot more.
it depends on how they show their protest on it. if they are being intrusive and disrespectful, i won't call them friends anymore. maybe i'll label them as acquintance from now on.
