Have you ever had a near death experience? Please share...?!

Question: When I was about 10 years old my father bought property that wasn't yet connected to the city's water mains. To save money, he decided to buy all the necessary pipes himself. He hired a guy with a backhoe to come out for a few days and get the job done and his kids (my two older brother's and I) helped him connect pipes and carry stuff around.
For reasons unknown to me, dad and the backhoe stopped work to talk one day, so I went down a ladder into the trench, which was about 10 feet deep. I was playing like I was an archaeologist/geologist and looking at all the layers the soil had formed, and imagined I was finding bones and/or remnants of a lost civilization (as I said, I was only 10).
The trench wall I was inspecting suddenly gave way, toppling down on me! I had about a half-second to decide whether to curl up in a ball or stretch out flat against the wall behind me. I stretched out flat, and the avalanche of dirt hit me like a ton of bricks. I lost conciousnes.
When I came to, I could hear people trying to talk to me, but I was floating above it all. I was looking down on my body from above with nonchalance, watching my dad and the backhoe operator and my brothers frantically trying to get me to breathe. I really didn't want to go back, because I knew it'd be painful, but eventually I was pulled back into my body, and started breathing and crying with all the pain. They kept prodding me, saying, "Get up! Get up!" I'd try to stand up, but would fall right back down again.
Later, my dad said that after the trench caved in, he looked at my brothers and asked, "Where's Penelope?" and instantly everyone knew what had happened. The only reason they found me, was that I happened to be wearing a really long, bright orange hair ribbon that day. The backhoe driver had spotted ONE INCH of that hair ribbon sticking out of the dirt, jumped on his machine and started digging. My dad said he'd never seen anything like it. That backhoe driver estimated where he should start digging, then cradled my body out of the ground in the bucket of the backhoe, raised me out of the trench, and placed me ever so gently flat on the ground just like the hand of God.
I was a horrible mess for weeks afterward. Both my eyes swelled to double their size and the whites of my eyes turned completely red from the incredible pressure of the weight of the dirt. I was dopey and "out of it". My entire body had been mashed like a potato and every square inch of my skin was black and blue.
I am so incredibly lucky to be alive and feel grateful to be given a second chance. Also, I don't have any fear of death now, because I know it's a peaceful place with no pain.
I don't think near death experiences are uncommon, and I didn't see the tunnel that many people experience, but that bright light from above was definitely there.

Nope.

2 of them
At 16 I was in a car wreck and the car rolled several times.
I was knocked out and only remember sounds of breaking glass and the song playing on the radio. Julian Lennon, It's to Late For Good Byes.
And I had surgery 5 yrs. ago and almost bled to death and woke up paralyzed. I had to learn to walk again.
