How long will it be before my daughter realizes that everything she sees on tele!

Question: at our local Target?

At this point she simply "oohs and aahs" over them but doesn't beg me to buy her anything. She's 2 1/2 and I'm thinking I have maybe a year at the most. Am I being too hopeful?

She knows already. Check under her bed for the stash of clothing, electrical goods and liquor that she's got via 5 fingered discount. She'll let you know when she goes after the big ticket items and needs an accomplice who can lift more and has a car. In general you are too hopeful and I hope to see less cheerful optimism from you in the future.

Soultion: when you go to Target lock her in the basement with nothing but old rags and dust bunnies to play with. She will be so engrossed she will never figure out the concept of buying things at Target.

Oh, poor dear...I'll pray for you.
Invest in Disney & Nickelodeon stock, it might compensate for some of your income until she's ready for college in 15-1/2 years.

Age 3 LOL

Too hopeful, but good luck. Maybe dinglebury can help explain the rules to her. I mean she does real well here unless she is talking about going to Ohio again, then she gets too anxious and begins to sound confused a bit.

ahaha! really soon! she will be telling you from across the house to hurry up and come see this she just has to have it. Why does everything my little girl want cost $30-$50 or more? The dollar store should advertise more instead. I guess God thought it would be funny to put a million dollar baby with a white trash poor momma.

"Cheers" is on right now....
how much for a young Kirstie Alley?

She's 2 1/2 years old?!?

Well...

It's time she married a rich guy...

Just like I did...

Doop!

If you can keep Her "monetary desires" to (only) everything you can buy at the local Target.... you've got it made!

Just make it clear to her that those items are only for purchase with 'child dollars', that must be earned by working in a sweat shop. I think you have looked into these before. Once she knows that is the only way for her to have any of those "oohs and aahs" items, she will beg to go to work.

which is why I'm teaching mine how to shoplift.

Everyone who gave you an answer to this question is suc*holing for best answer and 10 pts. They couldn't care less about your current dilemma. Neither do I frankly, but I'm thinking, judging by my own daughter, that you're living in the last few golden months of bliss, before she wants virtually everything she sees. At least I admit my torpor and lassitude.
