Do you know what extrapolate mean?!

Question: without looking at the dictionary or anything

Answers: without looking at the dictionary or anything

yes sir. excess polate right?

just kidding i know what extrapolate means. it's basically expounding on something or inferring info from something else

? More polate?

Nope, I don't. Whats it mean?

Yep, I do it all the time when I am sailing.

It's the "black art" of coming up with the correct answer only by interrogating/modifying the information around you.
eg. Only the major ports have tidal information, for secondary ports you "extrapolate" info from the major port. Your latitude, distance, time etc. determines how you extrapolate the relevent tide time and height data.

No, I had to look-and I'm not afraid to admit it.
