They're pushing it on the fruit thing, but I eat them no probs - used to be pretty addicted to them.
One of my relatives wouldn't be alive without them as he ate crate loads of them for years. Turned out it was the only thing keeping him alive....although now he's on $4000/month pills to do the same. Takes less time to eat them. :)

No they do not taste like fruit. They are too acidic. I like to eat raw tomatoes with olive oil drizzled over them with basil and mozzerela on top.

They are excellent "raw" even in salads and taco, and on burgers, they're raw. They're also great by themselves, little salt, pepper.......
