I'm poor, I get paid barely above minumum wage (but I do steal a lot). So little that all my W-2 said was "W-2"

im not, i earn min wage, im 31 and work 25 hours per week, suits me fine

Because our bosses don't want us talking about what we get paid because then we would be discussing about how much they're screwing us and then we'd all rise and slay them.
im not, i dont get crap, i only get the knowledge that my kids are well taken care of and have everything they need, yes im a stay at home mom, I do everything with no pay,lol

Because it's a status thing. People who earn more are seen as worth more as people. They're seen as more intelligent and more successful in life. If there's a group of 5 people and they all tell each other their salaries, the one on the least money will seem like the underdog and every one will feel sorry for them.
That's why we don't share it! Just in case we earn the least! Who'd want people to think of the as the least successful and least intelligent? I'm afraid that's how the world is and it won't change, but probably get worse.
I think a lot of people are secretive about it just because they think they're just supposed to be. I for one, don't really care if anyone knows.

mainly because withought knowing we feel equal and if you find out someone earns more than you it can make people feel inferior, just like if you found out your mate has a bigger manhood than you lol
LOL I know right? Even when you get hired they say " Now dont ever discuss your hourly rate with anyone" Hmmmmm why not? Because the guy next to u may be doing the exact job u r doing but u r getting paid more and it would totally upset him if he knew that!!!!
