Parents: When you find out your child has lied to you what do you do?!
Question: He is grounded and then I don't believe him. He has learned when he told me something and i didn't believe him and found out later he was telling the truth. It really hurt him then, but now he knows not to lie.

send him to his room, and it's usually I hear him curse, then he lies to my face about it
Ground him. I hate being lied to.
I have one of "those" talks with him until I know he feels really bad about it!
confront him and then ground him!
Back in my day, a beatin with the belt was in order. You lie, you steal.
Well, mine is only 3 yrs old,so her lies aren't that big of a deal yet.
When she is older I will be grounding her if she lies to me!Then she will respect my authority and hopefully learn from her mistake;)
im the child, but i dont like kids. lol, mi mom just yells at me, nothing huge. she eventually realized that yelling does absoulutely nothing, and now she talks to me like a normal human. :] when she's mad anyways, so i have no reason to lie anymore.
