the tone of their voice (louder when they brag) and the bluntness of their ideas. confident people have nothing to prove... so they just act normal

Someone who is confident doesnt brag, he only speaks about it when asked. Other people brag about him.

They have a higher EQ and speak about themselves within the context that both parties are benefiting from the conversation...
Last fall I reunited with my high school best friend after 6 years. Around the same time I bought a new car. I didn't tell her what kind of car I purchased...until she mentioned to me that she was driving a Benz. Then I felt secure that it would be okay to 'brag' because she would see it as an accomplishment for all my hard work...
